As one of the founding directors of Jupiter Play, Jo has over 9 years of experience in the Scottish play industry. Jo has a BA Honours Degree in Hospitality and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing leading her in to her initial role within Jupiter as Marketing Director. Following maternity leave, Jo has recently taken on the role of Managing Director, fully utilising her many years of experience in providing children’s play and sports facilities.

Jo ensures that the high standards that Jupiter Play has become synonymous with are met in every project, no matter what the size, and that the company continues to grow and develop.

After achieving an Honours Degree and Masters in Anatomy Jenny’s first role after graduating was in medical sales. Having gained field sales experience Jenny went on to office based sales and consultancy roles before joining Jupiter Play in March 2007 as Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator.

Since joining the company Jenny has undergone a wealth of training in marketing, computing software and has most recently completed a Level 3 National Occupational Standard in Fundraising.

Over time her role has developed to include community consultation design and implementation, tender submissions, exhibition and seminar organisation, internal sales administration, website management and fundraising advice amongst other things!

Before joining Jupiter Play in November 2004 as Works Supervisor, Derek had various roles ranging from engineering maintenance to project management.

Integral to Jupiter Play’s service range are the maintenance and inspection options available to clients. Derek achieved Register of Play Industry Inspectors (RPII) certification after working for Jupiter Play for only 5 months and is now responsible for all maintenance contracts. In addition, Derek is currently studying for his Level 3 Advanced Award BTEC in Playground Inspection, Operation & Maintenance. Derek oversees all project installations and is responsible for fault assessing and reporting.

Paul has achieved an HND in Spatial Design and a BA Honours Degree in Product Design. This led Paul into a variety of roles including graphic design, packaging design, product design and design management.

Following a combination of freelance work and working for global brands and companies Paul joined Jupiter Play in 2002 as a Play Area Designer and is one of the longest serving members of the team.

Paul’s interest in landscaping in play areas led him to take a course in Landscaping Design at Oatridge College at the start of 2008 and he is currently studying for a site surveying course.

Paul is responsible for all play area designs and works closely with Local Authorities, Community Groups and Landscape Architects to ensure they get the best play area for their budget and site. During consultation Paul is involved in open days and presentations to the community and is always on hand to offer design advice.

Following previous roles in field sales in the motor and financial services industry, Simon joined Jupiter Play in 2004 as Area Sales Manager.

Simon has an HND in Business Studies and has undertaken a site surveying course at Oatridge College.

Simon is responsible for the field sales operation within Jupiter Play and has gained a wealth of experience of customer requirements and product knowledge. Simon has been heavily involved in engaging local communities in consultation through open days and school presentations.

Jeanette has a wealth of experience in office based sales having worked for Robertson Lighting for 17 years before joining Jupiter Play in June 2002 as Sales Co-ordinator.

Her previous experience includes organising overseas exhibitions and a managerial position encompassing export sales, UK sales and manufacture production control.

Jeanette is one of the longest serving members of Jupiter Play staff and her role has developed to include all after sales, financial and contracts administration.
